ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING

Architecture is a means for connecting form and perception and for fulfilling both our needs and our dreams. Several projects where this can be demonstrated are underway for Spring-Summer 2011: a shower facility, outhouses for compostable toilets, a tensegrity "dome" with geo-thermal heating and water catchment, a wood floor for the 50 foot diameter tent, a series of Earth Pod and tree house lodgings. If you would like to contribute to one or more of these co-creative projects, please send an e-mail, subject line "architectural planning" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

COMMUNICATION

A new language is spreading across the continents at a rapid pace, lighting up forgotten links between sentient beings and opening space for a more musical, more fluid form of communication. If you would like to contribute to a new dream for humanity using language to communicate with members of local and international communities of interest, representatives of the world's religions and traditions, seers, scientists, and cooperative components from all walks of life, it would be a pleasure to exchange ideas and collaborate with you. Please send an e-mail, subject line "communication" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

CONSTRUCTION

Construction is a means of ushering ideas and dreams into physical reality. If you have skills in building (cob, straw bale, traditional), roofing, foundation, plumbing, grey water recycling, geothermal installation and are interested in contributing your time and/or expertise to any of the current projects or if you would like to learn these skills, please send an e-mail, subject line "construction" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

At this time, Sweet Springs Institute is able to provide room and board in exchange for on site contributions of time and expertise. Please see Participation for more details.

ENGINEERING

Engineers, can it not be said that engineering works intimately with universal laws of assembly ? If you are inspired to discuss the above question and/or contribute time and expertise to our major collaborative project, the Tensegrity Dome, please send an e-mail, subject line "engineering" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

FACILITATION

Sweet Springs Institute sponsors annual Solstice and Equinox events, and other forums, classes and workshops. These events are facilitated by a small group of individuals who are interested in furthering their collaboration and facilitation skills. The program content is structured by the facilitators and/or enhanced by their contributions. In the spirit of enticing participants and facilitators to learn from each other, facilitation can take the form of harnessing group dynamics, physical demonstrations, initiating chanting, musical interludes, theatre, dance, art, video projection and more. If you are interested in contributing, please send an e-mail, subject line "facilitation" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is the major source of funding for 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and tax deductible contributions are an incentive to potential donors. Our mission driven Fundraising Plan strives to involve talented and connected people to execute it. The Plan includes: defining fundraising targets; developing pragmatic strategies; creating fundraising brochures; researching private foundations and local, state and federal government agencies for potential grants; grant writing; contacting businesses and corporate funders; implementing internet fundraising options (widgets, missionfish, crowdrise); organizing internet drives and fundraising events; developing membership. If you would like to contribute, please send an e-mail, subject line "fundraising" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

NETWORKING

Networking raises awareness of the interconnectivity between all living organisms. It can start by connecting to and being part of a larger network of like-minded individuals, groups and organizations. These can be religious groups, primordial traditions, educational institutions and ecological or environmental groups with a spiritual focus. If you would like to contribute time and/or expertise to networking in collaboration with Communication, please send an e-mail, subject line "networking" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

ON SITE CONTRIBUTIONS

If you are thinking about joining our community for a long or short term stay, please click on Participation for more information.

ORGANIC GARDEN

Our goal is to cultivate in one and the same place, an organic garden and meditation space where mutual growth and well being can be enhanced by presence. This 10,000 square foot space will be tilled and prepared for this Spring's planting season using the principles of bio-dynamic agriculture and permacultural techniques. A contributor has offered to provide a solar powered electric fence to prevent deer and other animals from consuming the fruits of our labor. If you are interested in contributing to the design and layout of this garden, to planting and harvesting, or would like to share and learn more about bio-dynamic agriculture, permaculture and the methods of Pierre Rhabbi, please send an e-mail subject line "organic garden" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

ORGANIZATION

Sweet Springs Institute provides an ongoing opportunity for contributing to a new paradigm for human organization through public events, non-profit planning, general management and welcoming structure development. If you are interested in contributing your time and/or expertise, via internet and/or on site, please send an e-mail, subject line "organization" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

Our goal is to develop programs with individuals and groups who are inspired by our mission and also to outsource classes, forums and workshops that support our non-profit purpose. If you would like to contribute to these endeavors, please send an e-mail, subject line "program development" to: contributions@sweetspringsintitute.org.

RESEARCH
